Parent Support *Check planner daily for homework and teacher notes
Recognize achievements, due dates, and assist in proactive planning * Help your child select: a regular time for homework a quiet place away from distractions Successful study habits for tests/quizzes/other studying Check Skyward/Schoology regularly Look for missing work or assignments that need to be corrected The parent’s role in homework should be to answer any questions about the content, withouth aving to sit beside them and do the work for them. Teachers need to see what your child is capable of doing by themselves This lets us know how fast we can move and/or what needs more teaching

Late Work Homework is always due the next day, if it is late, it will automatically receive an 80% Students will be kept in at recess
31
Homework Policy Late Work– A 20% deduction is taken off for late assignments. Students will be given until the following Monday or a date decided by myself to turn in any late work, after that, the assignment will be recorded as a 0% and cannot be made up. Corrected Work– Scores 79% and less are expected to be corrected. The highest grade you can receive on any corrected work is an 80%. **Any grade with an 80% or higher is considered to show mastery of the subject. Absences– If you are absent you have the number of days you were absent plus one to turn in work. EX: If you were absent on Tuesday and return to class on Wednesday, your assignment is due on Friday. Planned Absences- As with all work missed due to an absence, teachers will determine which assignments are to be made up and will provide those assignments upon the student’s return.
32
Skyward Family Access Updated daily
Alerts on assignments that score less than an 80% Corrections are done on Mondays
