6. TROOPS TO TEACHERS
1.) The primary objective is to recruit quality teachers for schools that serve students from low-income families throughout America.
2.) Eligibility:
a.) Must hold a baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited institution at the time of application OR
b.) Minimum of 1 year of college (or equivalent) with six years experience in a vocational or technical field is required.

. Credentialed service members demonstrate to prospective civilian employers that their skills are on par with their civilian peers.
Licenses
Governmental agencies (federal, state, or local) grant licenses to individuals to practice a specific occupation, such as a medical license for doctors.
Certifications
Non-governmental agencies, associations, and even private sector companies may grant certificates to individuals who meet predetermined qualifications.

USMAPS uses the hours the servicemember works and grants them certifications.
