General Program Main Goal : Cheerleading is about leadership and teamwork. We will build cheerleading skills, along with everyday life skills. We will start with basic cheerleading skills and work our way up to be more advanced. We will practice team bonding.

Tryouts- CASHS Scores come from:
Dance, cheer, sideline, jumps/tumbling, and interview Coach evaluations during practices Monday and Tuesday Teacher evaluation sheets What to bring: Rule sheet – 2 copies signed Contact info sheet Informed consent form Photo Teacher evaluation form Squad will be announced Thursday night on the CASD cheerleading page.

July at Slippery Rock $350 UCA Summer Camp (MS) July 17-20 Student Activity Fee $100 per student ($150 family maximum) Practice Clothes We will order 3-4 practice outfits that will be used for days at camp and throughout the season. (Sometimes worn to school on spirit days.) Equipment Warm-ups $170- CASHS Warm ups $75 - CAMS (optional) Shoes $50.00-$70.00 Bow package $10.00 Bag $30-$50 Briefs $15 Poms (optional) $27.50

Teacher Evaluation Form
Pick a teacher whom you’ve had for a full year class They can return the form to you in a sealed envelope. Bring the sealed envelope to me at tryouts

Contact Info Sheet Print NEATLY!!!!! If there is an emergency, We need to be able to read the name & phone number Spots for 3 different adults: please do not write the same person’s info in all 3 places!

Health & Fitness Info Fitness and proper nutrition are critical to practicing and performing like champions No size or weight requirements, but being healthy, strong, and physically fit is required It is expected that each squad member will initiate or maintain a strength and conditioning program at home including running, lifting (with weights or your own body weight), and flexibility exercises Practices will be difficult & physically demanding. You have to be able to hold your own bodyweight (i.e. pushups) before I can trust you to hold another girl’s bodyweight!

Season Season starts with open gyms end of April and May
Summer practices Tuesday and Thursday Mornings (CASHS) Tuesdays and Thursdays (CAMS times TBD) Football and Basketball season Practices will be after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until 5pm

Competition Coaches are discussing transitioning to compete for the upcoming season. Final decisions will be made by June
