Robert Withrow-Clark left at the end of June 2016 The UC has approved re-filling the position Will probably still cover both San Joaquin and Stanislaus Position has not been advertised yet, but we’re hopeful that we’ll have someone new in place before the end of 2016 In the meantime, Ariel is covering the programs he developed

3 Programs and Enrollment Types
CA 4-H currently offers the following program delivery models: Community Clubs Short-Term Special Interest Projects (ex: Countywide Projects) Camps In-School Clubs Afterschool Programs In-School Enrichment Two enrollment types Individual = directly overseen by 4-H staff and volunteers Group = non-4H people work with youth using 4-H training and curricula

4 Boggs Tract Community Farm
Afterschool program at Washington Elementary School goes to community farm and, among other things, uses 4-H curricula and their staff has done 4-H workshops Group enrollment as an Afterschool Program model Summer Day Camp Program in used same curricula and training Group enrollment as a Short-Term Special Interest Project Summer Day Camp Program in using 4-H junior counselors and curricula Individual enrollment as a Camp program

5 New Volunteer Trainings
Who needs to do this: Any new volunteer who enrolled in and did NOT go to a face-to-face training must do so before they can be re-enrolled. Any new volunteer who enrolls in needs to go to a training by June 30th. Anyone who enrolled before 2015 is not required to go to one, but are welcome to attend if they want a refresher course. Dates: September 22nd, 6:30-9:00pm October 20th, 6:30-9:00pm November 19th, 3:00-5:00pm December 15th, 6:30-9:00pm Pre-registration is required, and training will be cancelled if less than 6 people register for that date. Additional dates can be added if there is sufficient interest.

October 15th, 10:00-2:00 Lunch provided! Development topics: Goal setting workshop with All Star Team Working with Latino families Working with Special Needs youth Suggestions welcome!

7 Policy reminders: All fundraisers must be pre-approved by County 4-H Office Form can be found on website or ask Michelle for one. Project Leaders (especially ones involved in AgFest) should start planning their schedule and communicate any expectations (ex: attendance, costs, age restrictions) to their members. Enrollments fees will be paid to the County 4-H Office twice a year; Michelle will send out invoices well in advance of due dates. Youth cannot participate in 4-H activities until they are “active” in 4hOnline
