Shape Memory Polymers use duel-shape technology, which is embedded into fibres or applied to textiles as a feature allow textiles such as skirts/blouses. This feature eliminates the need for ironing, can also give shrink resistant qualities which enables the product to be more durable and requiring less on impact to maintain.

Microencapsulated textiles adapt to heat and friction
Microencapsulated textiles adapt to heat and friction. It involves encapsulating oils, antiseptic agents, moisturizers etc into tiny, potentially natural bubbles within the textiles. These can resist odors, protect and even repel insects from the wearer. It improves the quality of wear, is more durable and can reduce the need for heavy laundering.

Hydrophobic or Super-hydrophobic textiles resist water, not only making them waterproof but preventing stains and the growth of bacteria on the surface. This reduces the need for laundering and the impact this has on the environment.

Red Cabbage is a natural PH Indicator, can be used to dye fabric, paper to detect acid/alkali levels.

Phosphorescent Pigments

Liquid Crystals used in mood rings to determine stress levels/moods, it is dependant on body heat to alter colour.
