Recount Writing- Summer Holidays- Reports on Ancient Greece. Stories by the same author- Micheal Murpurgo War Horse- Drawing inferences; looking at the characters feelings thoughts and motives. Retrieve and recording information found within a text. Poetry- Language and structure. To investigate what happens to words ending in f when suffixes are added. Adding suffixes to the end of words. Numeracy Place value of numbers up to 4-digits Addition and subtraction including real life problems Using place value to multiply and divide mentally. Two-step word problems using all operations and contexts Problem solving Area and perimeter Telling the time to the nearest minute and solving problems involving time. Science Solids, liquids and gasses, Temperatures and using a thermometer, Changing states, Evaporation and condensation, The water cycle and The air around us. PE Swimming Netball- Games: Team building and how to work as part of a team. Group challenges, confidence and skill building in groups. The importance of warm up and cool down.
