Year 4 Residential Trip to Sayers Croft.
20th – 22nd March 2017

Where is Sayers Croft? Sayers Croft is in the village of
Ewhurst, near Guildford in Surrey. It will take us about one and a half hours by coach. "At Sayers Croft, we're surrounded by our own beautiful woodlands and meadows. This allows us to make sure that no-matter where children are exploring, the area is safe and has clear boundaries".

Staff Attending During our stay we will be provided with one fully trained, professional member of Sayers Croft staff per class. These will provide all the expertise and support needed. Mrs Bradley Mrs Loh Mrs Ishojer Mrs Singh Mrs Driscoll Mrs Crowley Mr House Plus 2 other members of staff

Where do we stay? Each class will stay in their own building. Girls and boys will sleep in separate dormitories with attached teachers' bedrooms. Each building has a communal area/classroom. Each dormitory has an attached shower block. All bedding is included (duvet and cover, sheets, pillow and pillowcase, plastic mattress). Each building is locked at night and secured with an alarm.

Food Caterers provide a range of healthy and tasty meals during our stay. Any dietary requirements are catered for: Please give full details of any dietary needs on the forms you receive. Teachers will be aware of many of these requirements already.

Medical Information Any prescribed medicine that your child needs must be clearly labelled with their name and careful instructions must be given to the teacher, in writing, with regard to dosage and frequency. (On the morning of the trip) Travel sickness tablets - please give one before the departure and provide another, clearly labelled, for the return journey. Teachers will carry Calpol for instances of children feeling unwell. You will be able to give consent for this in the medical form. Sayers Croft have staff on site 24hours a day.

Keeping in Contact We will contact school as soon as we arrive at Sayers Croft and will keep in contact throughout the duration of the stay. You will be kept up to date about our adventures via regular Parentmail text messages. You can send your child with a piece of paper and a stamped addressed envelope for them to write to you while we are away. The children love to receive post whilst away. If you would like to discreetly hand a letter to your child's teacher or post it to the field centre before we arrive then please do so.

What next? A letter will be sent home tomorrow with all the details about the trip together with costings. A deposit of £57 is needed by Friday 4th November The second payment of £50 is due Monday 5th December and the final payment of £50 is due Monday 30th January 2017. Please complete and return any forms which are required, with as much detail as possible and by the due date given on the letter.
