Dress Code – what are the requirements? Do you know them? Ask a question to each other about classroom procedures. Is there anything you are still wondering about?

What will your score be on a 20 point assignment that is turned in late? Where do you turn in work that Mrs. Kimble did not collect? Which of the rules do you think is most important and why? What materials should you have on Monday?

4 Do Now 9/11 What were your strengths as a group during the discussion on Friday? What improvements could you make in your groups to engage in a more effective discussion? ( Use the pink paper to help)

Randomly choose three e- mails from the envelope Write down evidence from each . Construct a story based on your evidence about the people in the . ( What is going on with them and why). Make sure your explanation is based on evidence. Repeat with three more s. Revise your story based on new evidence.

7 Sharing Out GREEN will be the spokesperson on the group. Share your story to the class, not to the teacher. Let’s see how similar our stories were based on the evidence we choose. List your #’s and your constructed story.

LT: To interact with text and use a note taking strategy to discuss a current event article Read the article that Mrs. Kimble gave you Interact with the text by : Making notes in the margins Underlining key phrases Putting question marks by parts that are puzzling or you want to question later Circling words that hinder your understanding of the article

After you have read through the text, use one of the note taking strategies to take notes on the article in your journal.
