4 Observing in classrooms is one of the most important factors before becoming a teacher.
You are able to see “real-life” teachers Observation allows future teachers to: decide how they would like to teach what they may change about certain teaching styles keep the same develop their own style. Don’t forget a checklist! Observation 3

Monitor what you put on the internet to protect your image Be careful what you post on Facebook Twitter Instagram Text messaging – think about the purpose and content of what you text Personal Technology Limits 4

6 First time in the classroom can be overwhelming and exciting at the same time
You should: Be prepared to answer questions Build rapport Ask questions Volunteer/assist Once you feel comfortable, you will be relieved of anxiety and be more prepared for your next observations Fears and Anxiety 5

8 Searching for school district: requirements and locations
Make student teaching a top priority for the semester Punctuality is very important. Report to the school on time and remain until the end of the school day Learn the students’ name as quickly as possible using different strategies Contact with your supervisor on a regular basic Student teaching 7

9 Take PPR test right after block 1 CUIN 3323 and INDS 3323 while the information is still fresh
45 hours observation ASAP Passing the PPR and Generalist before student teaching Do not wait until the morning of the lesson to get them completed. Be prepared to make mistakes Make note of what went wrong and how to improve things for the next time Student Teaching 8

10 Be flexible Student Teaching
Try to keep things flexible so you won’t be completely derailed when students don’t respond the way you hope Be ready to take extra work to get further experience and impress your coordinating teacher but DO NOT over work yourself Student Teaching 9

11 Prepared for the Unexpected
Along those same lines, when the unexpected does happen, be prepared and ready for anything and everything to happen Keep a few backup lessons on hands to keep your students busy Teaching is an unexpected journey that is better to laugh than to stress Teaching life: “ out of the norm” is the norm Student Teaching 10
