July 13, 20, and 27, August 3 and 14. Why? Both librarians are new to their positions and needed technology training

Mentoring Report We started out by reading the book:
Worlds of Making: Best Practices for Establishing a Makerspace for Your School This book is a quick read with powerful information We picked the locations for their makerspaces and decided how to make them the most user friendly They brainstormed ideas on what to put in them as well as what grants to apply for to purchase the more expensive supplies with. We also created a list of people in the community who could come in to be maker “experts” in their fields, such as electricians.

Observation Report We prepped the school computer lab for the first day of school by moving in tables, computers, and hooking them up. We made sure the credit card reader was prepared for school registration the following day. We delivered and hooked up the teacher’s iPad charging stations to their classrooms. We returned an iPad that arrived broken and ordered a replacement. We also exchanged an old hard drive for a new one in one of the teacher’s computers
