2 Requirements for Participants
Stage I 5 years teaching in MO Public Schools Appropriate Certification Teacher, LMS, Counselor Full Time Meets Expectations on all areas of PBTE

3 Requirements for Stage I
Minimum of 60 clock hours of approved responsibilities 36 student contact hours OR 20 student contact hours if on PDC, BIT, ICC, CSIP, CL 20 hours MAX for any one activity, EXCEPT for student contact Minimum of 2 responsibilities, maximum of 6 Responsibilities take place outside of contracted time

Intent to participate next school year Form A March 15 Amendments for current year due Form H (and others as noted) April 30 Completed plans for current year due Forms D, G May 1 Turn in next year’s plan if summer hours - Forms E, B, C, G Tues. after Labor Day (Sept) Turn in completed plan for current school year if you did not turn in a plan in May All forms are available on the district website –

8 The SUCCESSFUL Plan Includes responsibilities that are NOT expectations (requirements) for teachers in the respective buildings. Uses correct times on log that are outside of contracted time. Building Begin/End Time PS 8:15 am to 3:50 pm ES 8:10 am to 3:50 pm IS 7:55 am to 3:40 pm MS 7:17 am to 2:47 pm HS 7:20 am to 2:45 pm

14 Important Things to Remember
Meet all deadlines Save your documents on your H-drive Keep up with your log – Minutes listed MUST match your times logged! Put a.m. and p.m. on times on log. Each log must have 2 signatures – yours and a person who can verify the activity.

15 More Important Things Check a calendar and make sure day and date match on the log Learning year – Next fall, DESE will review our Career Ladder files May result in changes in plans even after committee’s approval
