What is Ansur Software? Ansur test automation software gives you the ability to collect, record, store and analyze test results. Create a test procedure exactly as prescribed (manufacturer, standard, other) Capture and report test results electronically You can take any test procedure and create and Ansur equivalent electronic procedure. These electronic test procedures are called “templates” in Ansur. Once the test procedure is executed, all the data is captured and reported in a unified report which can be stored electronically. New features/benefits of the Ansur 3.0 release include: Customizable authorization levels: organizations can set user, author and administrator credential levels to enhance traceability and manage access Compliance enhancements: users can create their own signature to sign templates and results. This new feature is compliant with the FDA requirement, 21 CFR Part 11. Customizable DUT information fields and names: specify number of fields, groups of fields and field names when creating and modifying Ansur template to meet the needs of your organization ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Why use Ansur? Comply: Test per your organization’s/regulatory requirements. Standardize: Ensure each test is done same way each time Keep your data safe Reduce error Maximize productivity Easily record and report Comply with quality/regulatory requirements – each test is performed as prescribed Ensure each test is done same way each time Document electronically - reduce sources of human error Cut total test time - test multiple devices simultaneously Easily report and access for later use Creates a test procedure in electronic form Matches the prescribed procedure (manufacturer, standard, other) Captures test results upon test procedure execution. Results include: Checklist entries Numeric list entries Automatic data capture from compatible test instruments ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Installing without Electronic Signature
Un-install any version of Ansur Executive Install Executive 3.0 Install Plug-Ins next (Do not re-install Plug-Ins if you already have them installed) You may execute a Plug-In at this time and enter the valid “Establishment name” and “License” or do it later upon template execution You must have a valid license for each Plug-In Each license is only valid on one computer (unless otherwise requested) For current user, you do not need to re-enter your establishment name/license Users will not have to enter licensing information upon upgrade. ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Disable Electronic Signature
Ansur Executive software is the only application needed to use Ansur without electronic signature. Just install Ansur Executive and nothing else ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Installing with Electronic Signature
Central PC To install Ansur Executive with Electronic Signature capability, a computer network with a central PC is needed. The central pc holds the Ansur database for login authentication and user roles/privileges. Central PC The following software will be installed on the Central PC to set up the server and to create Ansur database. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Ansur Executive Server SQL server 2005 creates the SQL instance and Ansur Executive Sever interacts with the SQL server to create and configure Ansur SQL database. It is important for the user to note down the centralized PC IP address, as it is required during the installation of the Ansur Test Executive Software. Note Only the centralized PC is required to have installed on it the MS SQL Server 2005 Express and Ansur Executive Server within in the network of PCs. Other PCs can just install Ansur Test Executive Software If there is no network of PCs connected then the single computer to be used, it is by definition the centralized PC. Install MS SQL Server 2005 Express, Ansur Executive Server and Ansur Test Executive Software. Make sure that same PC IP address that was written down during MS SQL Server 2005 Express is properly entered during Ansur Test Executive software installation Let’s explore this a little more specifically to be sure we understand it. We’ll consider 2 customers, Customer A and Customer B Customer A: Only a single computer will be running Ansur. Therefore the MS SQL Server 2005 Express, Ansurt Executive Server and the Ansur Executive ver or higher will be installed on this computer. That PC will act as its own server, there will be no clients That PC is the Ansur Executive Server and holds the Ansur database where log-in information, electronic signature information and different profile information (Authorization levels) are stored. Whenever Ansur is run, the user must log-in, the server will verify and validate the log-in information entered, and allow access. The Ansur Administrator is responsible to set up and distribute the different profiles (Authorization Levels) to others using that computer Customer B: More than One PC will be running Ansur. These PCs will form a network computers for purposes of Ansur. One of these computers MUST be designated as the centralized computer. One PC will act as server and the rest as clients Server PC holds Ansur database where Log-In information, Electronic signature information and different profile information (Authorization levels) are stored. Whenever user wants to run Ansur his log in information is verified and validated in the server and then allows user to log in If client PC wants to run Ansur, then a log-In information and a profile (or Authorization level) is required The Ansur Administrator is responsible to distribute different profiles (Authorization levels) to the Authors and Users All log-in and profile information is stored and validated in the centralized PC server. So it is necessary to have connected to the centralized PC server at least once so that the same information is stored in the client PC and the same user can run without the server connection next time The Network The network can be created in any of the following ways networks are usually created: Simple inside-the-department network (WiFi, Ethernet, etc.) Sub-network of the company or medical facility network (this is likely to be administrated by IT and require IT actions) WAN (wide-area network) allowing more remote inter-connection Scenarios where server and client connection is required Whenever user logs in to Ansur first time Whenever new user/different user tries to log in to Ansur Scenarios where database info is queried Client PCs ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Central PC Client PC Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Ansur Executive Server
Software needed on central and client PCs. SQL server has to be Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and not any other version. It should be noted that central pc can act as a client pc as well. In other words, Ansur executive can be installed on the central pc as well. ©2014 Fluke Biomedical

Ansur Executive Server Installation
Done! We just set up the central PC for our Ansur network. Yay! Following information is still needed for the next step during Ansur installation on client PCs. -SQL instance: SQLExpress SQL login: sa SQL password: user defined Another required piece of information is the IP address of the central PC. Next slide shows how to obtain that. ©2014 Fluke Biomedical
