3 Background of HSBC # HSBC was established in 1991 with its shares quoted on both the London and Hong Kong. # HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the HSBC's international network comprises around 7,500 offices in 87 countries and territories in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. # Number of employees in HSBC bank is over than 350 ranging from assistant manager to vice presidents.

4 Opportunities at HSBC HSBC offer to their employees training in abroad for the employees who want to develop their work skills. Employee salary increases depend on the employee’s performance and certificates. HSBC send their employees to work overseas in their different branches such: London, India, Hongkong, and in other cities to develop the employees in their work. Also, HSBC have a variety of services to their employees such as: health insurance for the employee and his family, full paid vacations, and excellent service rewards.

5 Challenges and Demands
- In order to work in HSBC bank you should complete long hours of working from 8:30 until 4:30. - Every year each employee has to take 2 courses each of them for one week in the head quarter in Riyadh, it also depend on the individual performance and self development. - The employee must be ready to work in any branch whatever in London or in India or in any other branch therefore, he must already have good communication skills. - Also, the employee must improve his skills according to the company’s requirements such as: communication skills to build good relationships with his colloquies and also for the bank.

6 My Career Path at HSBC 1-Bank customer service: 2-Office manager:
Represent handles transactions and answer customer questions. Skills: the most important skill for customer service is communication skills to listen to the customer. Another skill is the ability to handle money and detail under pressure. Also, manage large amounts of money while dealing with long lines of customers. Moreover, the person must be calm, friendly, supportive, understand the banks products such as: credit cards and checking accounts. Salary: start form 5000 and depend on his career level. Years of experience: from 3-5 years depend on his performance to be promoted to the next position. 2-Office manager: To organize and supervise of all administrative activities that simplifies the smooth running of an office. Salary: depend on his career level and his performance. Skills: for an office manager needs to be a good leader and excellent in solving problems may face the work. Certificates: a Bachelor's degree. Experience: 2 years of experience and it depend on employee's performance to be promoted to the next position. 3-Operations manager: The person who knows how to manage the activities, decisions and the responsibilities for the production and delivery of the products. Skills: have good communication skills, training program last up for 2 years, leader ship training, time management training. Certification thought the career, financial certification, and banking certification. Years of experience: 5 minimum years of experience to be promoted to next position. 4- Senior administrative assistant: Is a professional assistant who provides support the management members or maybe in a large scale can supervise administrative staff members. Skills: have good computer, organization, and communication skills, some of academic experience such as: typing or secretarial courses. Experience: 3-5 years of experience depends on employee’s performance.
