Earnings have doubled in 7 years and last year’s earnings were $8.2 Billion. GE Stock Has Grown Over 600% since 1990 GE is the only remaining stock on the Dow Jones Industrial Index today that was there back in the original index of 1896. Although, stocks fluctuate...GE has always maintained its value. We were the first company to hit a $300 Billion Market Value. Our Market Value today is around $327 Billion (based on $100 per share and current shares of stock are at Billion)…this of course, fluctuates day to day as the stock price does. Quality Initiative --Six Sigma is also driving our growth and is saved GE 1.2 billion in ‘98 alone. This initiative has become a way of doing business at GE.
