Any disease that spreads from one person to another during sexual contact is a sexually transmitted infection or STI. Over 25 diseases are passed sexually 19 million people are infected every year from STI’s in the United States 3 million of those people are under the age of 20

The Most Common STI’s The pathogens that cause STIs live in the female and male reproductive organs and in the blood. STIs can be spread from person to person through blood and bodily fluids such as semen, vaginal fluids, breast milk. The three most common STIs are Chlamydia, Human Papilloma Virus and Trichomoniasis.
