5. Financial Aid Process – Federal Parent PLUS Loan
Credit Based– when a parent applies for the loan, their credit score is reviewed by an external party. The loan may be approved or denied.
*Please note – if a Parent PLUS loan is DENIED, the student would then be eligible to receive up to an additional $ towards the Unsubsidized loan.
Must be applied for annually at: studentloans.gov

18. Grades and Financial Aid
Students are evaluated yearly for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
Two Components: GPA and Pace
GPA – Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0
Pace is the calculation between Attempted Hours and Earned Hours, and needs to be maintained at a minimum of 67%.
GPA and Pace need to be maintained in order to remain eligible to receive Financial Aid

MyCSU Portal – Central State University’s portal allows for 24/7 access to Financial Aid information.
Additionally notices are sent via MyCSU .
It is paramount that students follow directions and timelines.
