This is my presentation about forest ecosystems and the living things in different kinds of forests.

2. THINGS WE WILL DISCUSS The four kinds of forests.
Examples of living things and animals in different kinds of forests.
Climate
Today we will discuss the different kinds of forest ecosystems, the climate, and the different living organisms that live in all of these types of forests.

3. FOREST ECOSYSTEMS Deciduous forest
Forests that are made up of mostly trees are called deciduous forests. They grow in places that have warm, wet summers and cold winters. The trees in this kind of forest drop leaves off each fall and then new leaves grow back in the spring. Trees that lose and regrow their leaves each year are called deciduous.

4. FOREST ECOSYSTEMS Tropical rain forest
Tropical rain forests grow in places such as Hawaii and Costa Rica. These places are hot and wet all year long. The trees grow very tall, and their leaves stay green all year.

5. FOREST ECOSYSTEMS Coastal forest
Coastal forests grow where there is a lot of rain. Unlike tropical rain forests, a coastal forest grows where it does not get too warm or too cold. But like tropical rain forests, coastal forests are thick with many kinds of tall trees.

6. FOREST ECOSYSTEMS Coniferous forest
Forests that contain mostly conifers are called coniferous forests. Conifers have needle-like leaves. Pines, spruces, and firs are common conifers. Conifers don’t lose their needles in the fall. They stay green all year long. Conifers grow in areas that get less rain than other types of forests. The needle-shaped leaves of these trees help keep the trees from losing too much water. Coniferous forests have many lakes and streams. The trees, lakes, and streams provide habitats for many animals.

Average yearly temperature is between degrees Celsius.
Average yearly rainfall is about 200 Centimeters.

Average yearly temperature is between degrees Celsius.
Average yearly rainfall is about 180 Centimeters.

16. SUMMARY Different types of forest ecosystems. Different climates.
Different kinds of animals inhabit each of these ecosystems.
There are different types of forest ecosystems. The main types of forests are deciduous forests, tropical rain forests, coastal forests, and coniferous forests. These forests provide habitats for many kinds of plants and animals. Each forest also has its own unique climate which explains why they are all so different.
