Let’s go to New-York! Our travel diary.
We go to the U.S.A in New-York and we visit a lot of things. This is our Travel book. New-York City is in the Northeast of the United States of America.

Day one When we arrive at the airport we take a taxi. Then we go in the hotel where we ca sleep to recover from the jet lag (8 hours!!). The taxis of New-York are yellow. The taxi is unoccupied when the light is on.

Day two In the morning we wake up at 6:00 and we take a taxi to take the ferry and we go to see Lady Liberty. Then we climbed up to its top and took pictures from the torch! Lady Liberty is on Liberty Island in the south west of New-York. It was built in 1886 in France by Gustave Eiffel and Auguste Bartholdi. It was offered to the U.S.A to celebrate the first centenary of the Declaration of Independence. It is yards high.

Day three We take a taxi at 8:00 to go to Central park. It is in the west of New York, in Manhattan island. We stay all the day to picnic. Central Park was created in 1857 because the inhabitants wanted a green space in their town. It was created by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux two American landscapers and architects. When the park was built there was a lot of rocks and swamps, there were many inhabitants too who were evicted.

Day four We take the underground and we go to Manhattan island to see the Museum of Art and Design. We can see many sculptures and pieces of furniture but we can see paintings too.

Day five We take the bus to go in Manhattan district, in the Midtown block to the number 350 of the fifth avenue to see the Empire State Building. We take the elevator up to the top of the 102 floors of this building. It measures 491 yards and it has got a basement. Its building started in 1929 and it was opened to the public on May 1st It is part of the world’s New Seven Wonders, and it faced up to an attack in 2001.

Day six It is the last day! So we go and see a musical in Broadway. The block is in the south-east of Manhattan. Broadway is the oldest avenue of the city. It is the most visited avenue of Manhattan. There are many theatres and cabarets.
