intro The decade of the 1940's was a very important decade in our history. the effects we still fell today are still hurting our country today This Decade has saw see the world war 2, the death of a loved man, Anne franks death. In the1940's, we saw the world war 2 and we won the war and we had lost so many people in the war later Anne franks father had her dairy made in to a book .

1940 Leon Trotsky death in 1940 he died on April,20,1940 he was killed by a man named frank Jackson he was put in jail for 20 plus years

1941 Pearl harbor was bombed on the morning of 12/7/ The Japanese had launched a air attack on USA in Hawaii more than 2400 were killed, 21 ships were sunk. More than 188 aircraft were destroyed we were, we were outraged by this had put us in the war

1942 Anne frank was 13 when she had to go in hiding and hid for two years before 1945 she got caught and shipped off to a death camp after the war was over her father searched for her and his family but found out that all of them were dead and he found Anne's diary and had it publish to make people not forget what had happen to his family.

1943 The Badoglio government surrenders to the Allies. The Germans immediately seize control of Rome war and try to stop this from happing again Anne frank was one of the Jews that hid as long as she could but she got caught.

1944 The non-communist underground Home Army rises up against the Germans in an effort to liberate Warsaw before the arrival of Soviet troops. The Soviet advance halts on the east bank of the Vistula on 1945

1945 1945 On October 5,1945 the Germans accept the surrender to the remnants of the Home Army forces fighting in Warsaw.

1946 On July 5, 1946, French designer Louis Reard unveils a daring two-piece swimsuit at the Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris

1947 on October 14, 1947, when Chuck Yeager flew the X- 1 over Rogers Dry Lake in Southern California.

1948 January George Gamow, Ralph Alpher, and Robert Herman formulate the Big Bang theory, explaining the origin of the universe in terms of a huge explosion producing a burst of energy.

1949 On September 3,1949 a U.S. spy plane flying off the coast of Siberia picked up the first evidence of radioactivity from the explosion. Later that month, President Harry S. Truman announced to the American people that the Soviets too had the bomb. Three months later, Klaus Fuchs, a German-born physicist who had helped the United States build its first atomic bombs, was arrested for passing nuclear secrets to the Soviets

Ending So this has had a really big effect on us and we can not change the history so ask your self should we let this happen again no we should get along thought we have a bad history and we ask that this not happen again
