2. Agenda
Flash tool – run the Install.bat from the Driver Auto Installer file to install the SP Flash tool drivers before running flash tool SD update- Copy the update.zip to micro sd card to install SN read/write tool and Diagnostic tool SN read/write tool- Restart phone after serial number update and reset phone to defaults to erase SN read/write tool Diagnostic tool- Restart phone after running diagnostic tests to erase diagnostic tools from phone

3. Flash tool – launch the tool
Click on Flash_tool.exe to launch the tool.

4. Flash tool – scatter file select
Click on Download Agent. File located in Flash Tool folder
Click on Scatter-loading to select the scatter file.
Scatter file located in the unzipped folder for Acer_AV052_S510_RV86RC09_LA_GEN1S_user_signed image file.

5. Flash tool – scatter file select
Select the text file with the subject MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt

6. Flash tool – firmware upgrade
Select items shown in name column.
Click on Download to start downloading the image to the target

7. Flash tool – firmware upgrade
Click on “是(Y)” to proceed.

8. SD update Copy the file of update.zip into SD card.
Power on the device
When device vibrates, press and hold the volume-up key.
When device vibrates again, release the volume-up key, press and hold the volume down key
When device vibrates, release the volume-down key
Select apply update from external storage from the menu.

9. SN read/write tool – enable ADB
Click on About tablet item and then repeatedly click on Build number item until Developer options item is displayed
Click on Developer options item and select the USB debugging item.

10. SN read/write tool – read/write
Click on READ to get Acer code or input Acer code and then click on WRITE to save it.

11. Diagnostic tool
Click on CIT to launch the diagnostic tools. Detailed steps are in the Service Guide.
