5 Graduation Requirements (cont.)

6 New Grad Requirement Students shall complete a minimum of 20 credits of Career Technical Education coursework. 10 credits of the Career Technical Education shall be in a MUHSD approved CTE capstone class.

7 Grad Requirements In Order to Graduate From MHS All Students Must :
Complete Subject Requirements 160 Credits of CORE Subject Matter Complete Elective Requirements Minimum of 60 Elective Credits Meet technology standards

8 Getting to College COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS ARE different THAN HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Students planning on entering a University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) after high school MUST follow the A-G requirements for UC/CSU. Please be sure to communicate regularly with your counselor.

Freshman Seminar (1 semester) State Requirements (1 semester) **9th grade students may register for summer school

13 Science** (3 years required)
Life Science Biology Integrated Ag Biology **Placement is based on reading levels/English placement

14 Mathematics** (2 years required)
Integrated Math A Integrated Math I Integrated Math II **Math placement is determined by teacher recommendation, placement testing and State test scores

15 Physical Education (2 years required)
Required for 9th graders Athletics and Band PE satisfy PE requirement** **Students will not be placed into Athletics until a roster has been submitted by a coach in the fall

3:05 – 6:05 EVERY DAY Tutorial services Physical fitness Enrichment Students are fed daily

20 Summer School Incoming 9th grade students may register for summer school for ADVANCEMENT Courses are blended (online/in-class) Summer school information is not yet available. Information will be given to your middle school when it becomes available

21 Communication Student/Parent Access to Grades/Attendance
Student assignments, grades and attendance may be monitored from any web-based computer All students are assigned a MHS account and will have access to their own Google drive Do not wait for the news to come to you… FIND THE “NEWS” ANY TIME YOU WANT!

Paperwork is available online at the MUHSD Website and also at each high school campus Submitted to the District Office, CWA for review DEADLINE…April 1st
