4. Anchors
Adams Anchors will be meeting during all three lunch hours Wednesday, Feb. 6th, in the choir room. Please come and bring a friend. See you Wednesday.

5. GSA
GSA's next meeting is Thursday, February 7th! We will plan, discuss, and make posters! And yes, there will be food!
Attention everyone: the GSA will be selling cookies in the Senior Area for 50 cents before school and during lunch next Tuesday, February 12 to raise money for the Trevor Project (a suicide prevention hot line). Stand on the side of love and enjoy a delicious treat!

7. Every track runner in Michigan begins practice in March. START NOW!!!
Winter track training will get you AHEAD of the rest of the runners.
Please join us after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if you do not do a winter sport. Do not underestimate how beneficial winter training is to get you in shape and ready to go once March comes around.

8. DEBATE
Last week 6 Adams debaters competed in a league meet at Notre Dame Prep.  Javeria Khan served as Presiding Officer and was also ranked as the first place speaker.  Other students who participated were Alyssa Wright—3rd place,  Cameron Johnson—5th place, Connie Lin—7th place, and Evelyn Yang—9th place.  Aashika Sulabelle also participated.  Congratulations to all!

16. Safe Driving Awareness Contest
In order to raise awareness of the growing problem of texting while driving, the Rochester Hills Government Youth Council is sponsoring a contest funded by Ford and AAA
January 28th to February 15th to submit a poster, video, song, or anything that will promote no texting while driving.
The top 3 winners from each school will receive Visa Gift Cards: First place gets $150, second place gets $100 and third place gets $75. Winning videos or songs will be placed on the announcements, and posters will be hung throughout the school.
