2. Objectives
To familiarize ICRAF with Central Asian actors, the region’s landscape and existing research in agroforestry in Central Asia
To familiarize key agroforestry actors with work and interests of ICRAF
Through a participatory workshop, identify key researchable issues related to agroforestry
To distill ideas and potential partners for at least three concept notes that will be developed into full research proposals in 2015

Opening session, Status of and trends in Agroforestry research and practice in central Asian countries; Current initiatives
Day 2:
Field Trip to Mining Restoration and Pear-based agroforestry
Day 3: Towards the future Agroforestry research
Agroforestry for the future, Working Group identify research priorities and draft CNs and present back
