There are Two Types Of Enormous Trees In Redwood
The two tallest trees in Redwood are the Giant Sequoia trees and the Coastal Redwood trees. The Coastal Redwood tree can be found along the California Coast and a few along the southern Oregon Coast. These trees can reach over 300 feet tall and over 20 feet across. They can also be over 4,000 years old! Like the Coastal Redwood, the Giant Sequoia is a massive tree that can grow to over 300 feet tall, also diameters of 20 feet or more. These trees can also be similarly over 4,000 years old. These trees however look different than the Coastal Redwood, with brighter orange-red bark. The Giant Sequoia can be found in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California.

Ha Redwood National Park is in Crescent City, California. In 1923 California makes Prairie Creek Redwood State Park. In 1925 California makes Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park. In 1929 California makes Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park. In 1968 President Lyndon Johnson signs the bill creating Redwood National Park. In Redwood National Park is named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In 1983 the park became a part of the much larger California coast Ranges International Biosphere Reserve created by UNESCO.

Redwood National Park has many different animals that call Redwood “home”. More than 400 species of birds were seen in Redwood. There are about 40 different species of mammals, and some of them are: the Big Brown Bat, Black bear, Bobcat, Gray Fox. A few species of reptiles are found in the area, like red legged frogs, snakes, and along with pacific giant salamanders and the rough-skinned newt. Animals In Redwood Redwood National Park has many different animals that call Redwood “home”.
