Dr. Matthew Wawrzynski HALE Program Coordinator Welcome to the Pursuing a Degree at Michigan State University webinar. Thank you for joining us. My name is Dr. Matt Wawrzynski, I am the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education (which we refer to as HALE) program coordinator. I am joined by my colleagues, Dr. Bill Arnold, HALE MA coordinator, and Dr. Christa Porter, SAA MA coordinator. Thank you for considering Michigan State University among your graduate program considerations. We know that there are many programs across the country to consider, but we hope that the focus of today’s webinar, Why consider pursuing your degree at Michigan State University, will provide you with the information to affirm your decision to apply to MSU and one of our master’s degree programs. Future webinars will discuss the program structures and curriculum and funding your education at MSU.

Reputation & Quality Curriculum & Teaching Faculty Students Research Alumni National Graduate Program Rankings The HALE program has a strong relationship with many offices and departments at MSU. The foundation of these relationships is built on the reputation and quality of the curriculum and teaching, faculty, students, research, and alumni of the program. The College of Education at MSU ranks No. 15 overall among colleges of education according to the latest graduate school rankings compiled by U.S. News & World Report. Looking across all the program rankings, the college has a total of five programs ranked 1st or 2nd. That’s more top-2 programs than any other education school in the country.
