The region is crossed by the road from Moscow to Vladivostok that is a part of Berlin-Beijing transnational corridor.
The main Trans-Siberian railway connects Tyumen region with other regional centers of Russia.
The regular non-stop flights are operated from Roshchino airport (Tyumen) to Germany, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Armenia and Tadjikistan. Daily 10 flights are operated to Moscow. Flight time is 2 hours 40 minutes.
Natural resources
37 hydrocarbon deposits were discovered. The predicted resources are estimated at 1.8 billion tons in the south of Tyumen region.
