8 Support: Vehicles – Not cars!
20% off an eligible van (up to £8,000) March 2015 –announced £7.5m to boost uptake of zero emission motorcycle and scooters; Up to £1500 off the purchase of a qualifying models to help bridge cost gap between electric and petrol. 05 May 2015

9 Tax Incentives Vehicle Excise Duty
Currently – exemption for <100g CO2 / km From 2017 – exemption for zero emission vehicles. Fuel Duty – £0 Company Car Tax 5% for 0-50g CO2 cars 2015 – 16 7% for 50-75g CO2 cars 2015 – 16 * Commitment to maintain a 2% differential for ULEVs out to 2020 Enhanced Capital Allowance – write-down 100% of EV value in 1st year to set against tax (even if the grant has been used) Van benefit charge (VBC) – £3000 charge payable to employees for private (as well as business) use till 2015 SPENDING REVIEW END NOVEMBER 2015 05 May 2015

10 Plugged-in Fleets Initiative
PIFI ( ) – Looked at how to integrate ULEVs into 20 UK fleets. PIFI 100 ( ) – £280k made available to allow 100 more fleets to benefit. Tri-part PIFI programme Online fleet assessment tool available to 300 fleets. PIFI review for 45 large and SME businesses Vehicle drive cycles TCO Infrastructure implications PIFI PLUS for 12 additional fleets helping with introduction of ULEVs Through the Plugged-in Fleets Initiative (PIFI), the Energy Saving Trust aims to demonstrate where mplug-in vehicles (PIVs) can work practically to fulfil and maximise business needs, show where the vehicles work economically, and provide vital insights into the fleet PIV market. Plug-in vehicles include pure electric vehicles (EVs), extended range electric vehicles (E-REV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). 05 May 2015
