5 Social Media sites and their uses
Twitter an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, "tweets," restricted to 140 characters. Those who are unregistered can only read them. Instagram mobile photo-sharing site that allows its users to share pictures and videos, publicly or privately on the app, as well as through a variety of other social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. Kik Kik is a mobile messaging application. The popular app which is free to use and has an internal browser, meaning users are encouraged to spend more time within the app. Facebook Facebook is a social networking site and service where users can post comments, share photographs and links to news or other interesting content on the Web, play games, chat live, and even stream live video.. 6 Tumblr a microblogging and social networking website. The service allows users to post multimedia and other content to a short-form blog. Users can follow other users' blogs Tinder  location-based social search mobile app (using Facebook) that facilitates communication between mutually interested users, allowing matched users to chat. The app is commonly used as a dating services app, and has branched out to provide more services, making it more of a general social media application. LinkedIn a social networking site designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish and document networks of people they know and trust professionally. 7 Pinterest a personalized media platform where users can browse the content of others in their feed. Snapchat a mobile app that allows users to send and receive "self-destructing" photos and videos. Photos and videos taken with the app are called snaps. Reddit Reddit is a social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Reddit's registered community members can submit content, such as text posts or direct links.  Twitch It’s essentially the YouTube for live gaming: people broadcast themselves playing and/or talking about games while other people watch them (either live or via archived footage) while chatting about it. Soundcloud an online audio distribution platform that enables its users to upload, record, promote, and share their originally-created sounds.
