2. 9/11 Memorial Pool
The memorial is located at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City.
There are two pools with flowing waterfalls that are each an acre in size.
On the bronze walls of the pool, the names of each victim are inscribed.

3. Pentagon Memorial
Right outside the Pentagon, there are 184 benches to honor the men and women who lost their lives when an airplane struck the Pentagon on September 11th.
Each bench is inscribed with the name of a victim and has an illuminated pool of water under it.

4. Trinity Root
The Trinity Root Memorial is a bronze cast of a sycamore tree that stood beside Trinity Church.
Trinity Church was located next to the Twin Towers, but survived the attacks of 9/11 because it was protected from falling debris by the branches of the tree.

5. Wall of Hope
The Wall of Hope is a memorial in Rhode Island that features a mosaic of tiles. Each of the 11,124 tiles was designed by a resident of Rhode Island.

6. Monument to the Struggle Against World Terrorism
Also known as the Tear Drop monument, this 100-foot-tall bronze sculpture in New Jersey shows a large tower with the names of each victim engraved on the sides.
The center of the tower has a jagged opening that holds a teardrop made from nickel.

7. Tribute in Light
Each year, on September 11th , the Tribute of Light memorial sends up two beams of light that reach 4 miles high.

8. Memory and Light
Located in Padua, Italy, the Memory and Light memorial features a beam that was saved from the World Trade Center.

9. Flight 93 National Memorial
On September 11, passengers on Flight 93 took back the plane from hijackers to avoid an attack on the U.S. Capitol building. The Flight 93 National Memorial marks the site where the plane crashed and honors the 40 victims.

10. 9/11 Living Memorial Plaza
The 9/11 Living Memorial Plaza is located in Jerusalem, Israel. The memorial is an empty grave that resembles an American flag.
The wall surrounding the memorial features the names of each victim, including five citizens of Israel.
