What & How to
Pack!

2. Packing suggestions: Plan to put your full name on all personal items.
Don’t over pack!
A common mistake is to take
too many clothes and
unnecessary toiletries, etc.

3. You must be able to carry your own luggage.
Usually one suitcase and a backpack are sufficient.
Don’t over pack your backpack!! It needs to fit under your plane seat.

4. Be sure to follow the TSA restrictions on the amount of liquids or gels that can be packed in carry-on bags.
You can bring one single 1-quart-sized ziptop clear plastic bag with 3.4-ounce bottles or less.

Don’t forget that WorldStrides doesn’t cover checked baggage fees. To avoid fees, you may bring a carry-on suitcase and a backpack (personal item) on the plane at no extra cost.

7. ITEMS TO BRING
• Wind/waterproof jacket & a sweatshirt
• T-shirts/shorts
• Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt with a collar (for mosquito protection – This is really important.)
• Two swimsuits
• Sleepwear/undergarments/socks
• Comfortable Walking/hiking shoes
• Sandals for down time (not permitted for daytime activities)
• Closed-toe water shoes with sturdy soles
• Spending money - not too much!
• Hat (for sun protection)

8. • Camera and/or phone and charger or batteries
• Waterproof sunscreen (biodegradable required for some activities/Walgreens)
• Sunglasses
• Camera and/or phone and charger or batteries
• Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
• Beach Towel for outdoor activities
• Small backpack, stringbag, or daypack
• Flashlight
• Insect repellent (Wipes are recommended.)
• Plastic water bottle that fits in daypack
• Gallon-size, zip-top bags for wet clothing
Neat snacks for the plane trip
(No peanuts or peanut products!)

9. Mr. Timan will carry copies of your school IDs
Mr. Timan will carry copies of your school IDs . The names on the IDs will match the names on your airline tickets.
You will wear your WorldStrides ID at all times.
