7 Your flight details Outbound Flight on 23rd March 2016 from London Heathrow to Boston Departure: hrs Arrival: hrs Return Flight on 30th March 2016 from New York John F. Kennedy Airport to London Heathrow Departure: hrs Arrival: hrs (31st March 2016) Please not that flight times are provisional and subject to confirmation.

8 Before you fly There are a few important points to remember before you fly… Only one hold bag is permitted per person – max weight 20kg All luggage should be clearly labelled One item of hand luggage per person No sharp objects in hand luggage No liquid in containers over 100mls Pupils must be able to carry their own bags Don’t forget your passport and EHIC card!

9 Arrival in resort Everything is geared to providing school groups with the exact services, facilities and support that a school party needs On arrival you will be greeted by the SkiBound resort team The SkiBound team will be available throughout your trip to ensure you have an enjoyable stay

14 Ski School 5 days skiing is included in your package, 4 hours of instruction per day (pupils only) You will ski for 3 days on Loon Mountain and 2 days on Waterville 2 hour lesson in the morning, 2 hour lesson in the afternoon You will be met by your instructors at the ski school meeting point on the piste Expert instructors from the local ski school will develop your skills over the week Group size are kept small (approx. 12 pupils) to ensure excellent supervision You’ll spend 4 hours a day with the Ski School where you’ll be taught: Carving & turning Using the inside edge Rhythm Style Speed & control Jumps Further info: Average of 1 instructor for every 12/13 paying places. Additional instructors can be pre-booked for a supplement – contact your tour co-ordinator if required. Children under 7 cannot join group lessons. Arrangements should be made with the crèche or ski kindergarten, directly with resort, at own expense

15 New York Stopover Tuesday 29th March 2016 – you will have an overnight stopover in New York, staying in the Holiday Inn Hasbrouck Heights and including breakfast and dinner at the Hard Rock Café or somewhere similar.

It’s important to wear the correct clothing to stay warm and safe in the snow Ski jacket Waterproof and windproof, with a hood and pockets Base layer Not cotton, as it Doesn’t let out moisture. Synthetic layers are best Mid layer This is what will keep you warm. Fleece or hoody is ideal Ski trousers Waterproof and windproof, able to fit over boots

18 Ski equipment Mittens Gloves Ski socks
It’s important to wear the correct clothing to stay warm and safe in the snow Mittens Or mittens are best if you suffer from cold hands Gloves Gloves are best for ease of movement Ski socks Only ever wear one pair of socks with your ski boots otherwise you’ll get blisters. If you get really cold feet try a silk undersock

19 Ski equipment Hat Sunglasses Goggles
It’s important to wear the correct clothing to stay warm and safe in the snow Hat 75% of body heat is lost through your head so it’s essential you wear a hat… Sunglasses Ok to use when it’s sunny …or a helmet Goggles For when it’s cold, windy and snowing Further info: If helmets are required, these should be confirmed on the final names list, along with sizes required. If helmets are being purchased in the UK please advise your tour co-ordinator, the equipment must be EC approved. And don’t forget your sunblock!
