Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety 1, “Safe Walkers & Safe Wheels”
1st grade 89 Schools, 484 Classrooms, 8,836 Students Students learn the importance of following the rules for pedestrian safety as they put their walking skills to use on the safe streets model. Students save Safe Town by correcting risky bicycle behaviors with emphasis on wearing a helmet. Stop, look, and listen before you cross the street. First use your eyes and ears, then use your feet! Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputies team up with MORE HEALTH to teach at 40 Elementary Schools.

Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety 2, “Rule of the Road” 5th grade
47 Schools, 212 Classrooms, 4,617 Students Students learn the "Rules of the Road" for pedestrian and bicycle safety by playing a fun and educational game of Street Smarts Jeopardy. They learn about common distractions that put them in danger and discuss excuses for not wearing a helmet and why helmets are important. Students are taught the importance of being the role model when it comes to safety.

“Trauma is No Accident” 9th - 12th grade
Driver Education or HOPE Classes 48 Visits, 253 Classrooms, 8,636 Students Cell phones, music, food, pedestrians, and friends are distractions that can lead to trauma while driving to school. An interactive game shows students how simple tasks when coupled with driving become complex and dangerous. Factual stories and simulations emphasize the importance of wearing a seatbelt and not drinking and driving.
