The Tourism Curriculum: BOS (Bachelor Of Science) Program in Hospitality Management: 4.5 semesters / Semester Based Program Two internships Bi-lingual (F/E) Heavy course loads Tourism Courses: BOS 5 (Fifth Semester): International Tourism (45 CH) BOS 6: Sustainable Tourism (Environmental Awareness & Eco-Tourism) (45 CH)

A group of Interdisciplinary hospitality faculty (planning, design, architecture, law, tourism, engineering, operations, marketing, IT, research, etc.), with the support of EHL administration, staff and students share a common goal- to move the hospitality sustainability agenda forward

7 EHL-HISD Mission To support the hospitality industry through the development of improved policies, practices and procedures, as well as improved economic environments, so as to ensure a more sustainable future for the industry itself and for the communities in which it works. To provide EHL students with new opportunities to develop their interdisciplinary understanding and a keener awareness of the value of sustainable development.

Summary Remarks: Essential linkage between student and faculty learning as part of EHL-HISD Mission Key is making the Learning as ‘REAL’ as possible providing guidance needed for future professional and personal decision making Support the debate over fundamental issues (climate change) and introduce alternative arguments Help students see the complexity and the linkage between Hospitality, Tourism, Destinations and Sustainability and implications to Hospitality Operations
