Behavioural Supports Ontario Lived Experience Network Advisory
2016 Year in Review

Terms of Reference Finalized our terms of reference which outlines the advisory’s purpose, objectives and logistics (meeting frequency, etc.) Among our objectives & deliverables are the following priorities: A. To enhance care partner training opportunities across the province B. To develop and promote the use of a personhood tool across sectors C. To engage individuals with lived experience across the province in advisory conversations D. To inform the work of the Ontario Best Practice Exchange Collaboratives and ensure that it is guided by person and family-centred care approaches E. To identify innovative and promising practices related to geriatric mental health, dementia, substance use and/or other neurological disorders and share them with the Ontario Best Practice Exchange Collaboratives F. To provide recommendations for the ongoing updating of the BSO Mini-Sites G. To act as a resource to provincial projects related to geriatric mental health, dementia, substance use and/or neurological disorders This slide lists all of our objectives and deliverables for the advisory. Note that in order to develop these terms of reference, we engaged the network in a number of conversation about their priorities and also provided our members with the opportunity to provide their feedback via an online survey. The next slides will review all of our accomplishments made in 2016 under the relevant categories.

Goals for 2017 To enhance care partner training opportunities across the province To develop and promote the use of a personhood tool across sectors In addition to continuing on with our other objectives, this year we would like to truly focus on two of our objectives that we didn’t have a chance to really dive into last year.
