This case study demonstrates the need for timely and effective communications. Both the senior and junior must take responsibility. Lesson 06.02

7 Lesson Assignment Read and analyze the Critical Case Evaluation.
Decide what you would do. Record your response on the Case Evaluation Response form. Lesson 06.02

8 Read and Analyze Read and analyze “The Party” case evaluation on p. 74. Take notes on key facts. Ask questions. Lesson 06.02

9 The Party Key facts: The party was hosted by military personnel.
Excess alcohol was consumed. Some personnel acted in a criminal fashion. Lesson 06.02

10 The Party Key facts: The actual crimes committed are not stated (minor or major). Complaints about a “wild affair” were made. The senior took no immediate action on the initial brief remark. Lesson 06.02

11 The Party Key facts: Major criminal offenses must be reported immediately to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). The subordinate did not actively pursue a follow-up of the initial remark or try to make the senior understand what went on. Lesson 06.02

The senior did not attempt to draw out additional details. Lesson 06.02
