“The Cañada Athletics Department promotes excellence in athletics and prepares leaders for tomorrow by providing an excellent environment to enable student-athletes to achieve their highest academic, athletic, and personal aspirations.”

Objectives: must reflect the mission statement in a more detailed way and should be statements of what the organization “wants to achieve (or can) in practical but not to detailed terms”. Objectives should ultimately generate operational strategies or action plans that can be measured. Therefore, they must be realistic and begin to reflect the structure of the department, institutional philosophy, funding capacity and all necessary goals.
