Wednesday 29 June – Friday 1 July
Please ensure your child is in school for 8am to register for the visit and drop off luggage and medication (main hall). Students must arrive in full uniform. Lessons will commence as usual at 8:25am. Lunch will be at 11:45am. Coach departs from the academy at 12:15pm. We intend to arrive back in school for approximately 2pm on Friday 1 July. Please collect your child – this is an INSET day.

Medication Ensure that all medical conditions/medication have been identified on the medical form. Hand in all medication. Make sure everything is clearly labelled in a plastic bag. Use travel sickness tablets if necessary. Tell staff if you do not feel well.

What to pack - essentials
Toiletries – (deodorants must be roll on, no aerosols) Old clothes for activity sessions (long sleeved top, trousers and closed toe shoes that you are prepared to get wet and muddy!) Waterproof clothing (coat, trousers, wellies) Plastic bags for dirty clothes A bath towel

Socks and underwear (bring extra!) Sun cream and a sun hat Pyjamas (bring something to put on your feet e.g. slippers, thick socks) A water bottle Spending money

Students will be informed in their VMG.
Rooming Students will be informed in their VMG.

Mobile phones Students are advised to not take their mobile phones on the trip, however, we understand if students may need them to contact parents and carers on their way back. Please be aware that all student mobile phones will be kept in the safe at Kingswood for the duration of the trip. If students fail to follow this instruction or misuse their phones, staff have been advised to confiscate phones and parents or carers will be expected to collect phones on return to Outwood Academy Valley. Behaviour Behaviour is expected to be the same as in the academy:
Listening and following instructions. Punctuality. Politeness. No photos taken whilst at Kingswood are to be uploaded to the internet.

Behaviour BEHAVIOUR ON THE COACH
Students must remain seated, with seatbelts fastened when the coach is moving. The coach must be kept tidy. Chewing gum is not permitted on the trip. BEHAVIOUR AT KINGSWOOD Students should behave sensibly at all times, showing courtesy and consideration towards members of staff (both Valley and Kingswood). Under no circumstances should they go anywhere alone. (Always in a 2 or more) VALUABLES The school or staff will not be responsible for any loss or damage to these items. Your child will be responsible for his/her own money during the visit.
