Classroom Rules and Procedures
The following discipline procedures will be used in class!

Classroom Rules 1. Students are to bring all required materials and supplies to class each day. Textbook, binder and folder 2. Students are to be in their seats, quiet, and ready to work when the late bell rings. 3. Students are to follow directions the first time they are given. 4. Students are to raise their hand to be recognized before speaking. 5. Students are to remain in their seats unless given permission to get up. 6. Students should not eat, drink, or chew gum in the classroom.

Disciplinary Procedures
1st offence- Warning 2nd offence- Detention 3rd offence- Contact with parents 4th offence- Referral to the office This procedure may be altered according to the severity of the offence!!!!

Incentives 1. Praise 2. Parent contact
3. A stella will be awarded and 10 will equal in a free homework pass 4. Homework passes/Extra credit

Being Prepared and Writing Utensils
Bring required materials each day. (3-ring binder, loose leaf paper, pen and a pencil Writing Utensils Students may use a pencil or a pen (blue or black ink) Blue or black ink should be used for formal writing assignments. Typed or computer generated work will be accepted with prior approval of the teacher.

Entering and Exiting Class
Entering Class After entering the room, students may not leave without permission. Students may not leave books and materials outside the classroom for any reason Upon entering, students should go to their assigned seats and prepare for class. Begin working on assignment that is on the board Exiting Class The teacher will dismiss the class Not The Bell. Do not pack books to exit class until instructed to do so by the teacher. Students are responsible for cleaning the area around their desks before leaving the room.

Maintaining Your Binder and Folder
Your Notebook Keep the following in your notebook: Class rules, class procedures, class notes, vocabulary assignments, All materials must be dated and in the right order. Notebooks will be checked. This grade will count as a homework/class work grade. Folder Your folder should include any assignments or hand outs that have been given back to be organized in the binder.

Papers Paper usage Writing on the back of homework and class work is permitted and encouraged. Do not write on final drafts. Do not write on the bottom line of the paper, go to next page. Heading Papers Write your name and date in the top-right hand corner of the first page. Do not fold papers!!! Passing in papers Each student should place their paper on top of the paper beside you and pass them across the row. The student on the last seat should collect all papers place them on the teachers desk.

Restroom and Water Restroom
Students are encouraged to use the restroom before class. After entering the classroom, students may use the bathroom but Must sign in and out of class Water a. Students should get water before class. No food or drink in class unless medical excuse.

Pencil Sharpening and Trash
Students are to sharpen pencils upon entering the classroom If your lead breaks during class and if your have no other writing utensil, raise your hand and wait for further instructions. Trash Trash will be thrown away when your are dismissed from class. Keep it at your desk until you are dismissed. Pick up all paper around your desk before leaving the room.

CELL PHONES Upon entering class, all students must leave their cell phone or electronic device in the back pocket assigned to them. All phones must be on silent so as not to distract classmates. Teacher will instruct students row by row before dismissal to retrieve their phones. I will check to see that your phones are in the pocket, anyone that does not deposit their phone will see me after class to retrieve their phone. Unless instructed to do, there is absolutely No use of phones, pictures and videos in Class. Any misuse will result in a loss of phone which will need to be retrieved at the main office along with an office detention.

Laptops We are extremely lucky to have laptops in our room and should treat them as we would our own. Each student will have an assigned laptop to use. You are responsible for properly logging off the computer and taking care of making sure it is stored properly in the correct slot and plugged into the charger. Once you are logged on you may not use any website that is not approved by the teacher. Your lap tops are monitored and I can see each one of your screens. I will send a warning. On a second offense, you will be logged off and lose your laptop privilege. Any misuse of these laptops or mishandling, damage or failure to properly store all laptops will result in a loss of this privilege.

STELLE Stella (Star) is the reward system for class which I will keep track of at all times. You may be awarded a stelle for good behavior or class participation. 10 stelle will be rewarded with Free homework pass or if all assignments are completed then 5 points extra credit on the lowest quiz grade
