Monitoring Your Brand Online
ENT119-o 01 Logan Ogle Sports Marketing and Media 6/1/2017 Ryan Mickley

Online ID Calculator The three things I found most revealing about my results was that for my purity scoring I got stellar. The second thing is something I wasn't sure about having and that was a common name, which Logan is one. The last thing I found revealing about my results were that my Diversity is high. Meaning that I have a great deal of multi- media real-time content, which helps out a lot with a brand. I think with the help of Hootsuite and other tools, I can help get my relevance up and get my name out there more.

Brand-Archetype Quiz While taking this quiz and getting the results, there was several things I found revealing about. With 23% of my Hero Brand being Archetype, that is something to take pride in and wanting to be a brand that can be seen as a hero. The second was Lover Brand Archetype. With 14% being for the Lover Archetype, that's also a big part of a brand, you always want to show love to your company and customers. The last thing I found revealing from the results was a 9% Caregiver Archetype. This is something I would like to improve on, and become more caring for my brand.

Hootsuite! With setting up my Hootsuite account, I set up my dashboard to have all my social media on it and to show my mentions throughout each site. For my stream, on my Twitter i set up 4 streams. The first stream is my home page, my second is likes, then mentions, and my last one is followers. I found that these streams will give me the most out of the streams and more reliable.  The personal name I will be monitoring is “HockeyOnTheGo1,” this name provides me what kind of brand i would want to be and is a good name that stands out from other names. On my dashboard, I have added Twitter and Google plus. I am following all the NHL teams and several reporters or insiders on the sport. By following these people, this will give an edge on whats going on in the hockey and sports world, and give me a better chance to succeed and improve my brand.

Hootsuite! The first Tweet I found was from Darren Rovell. He talked about how tickets might be cheaper in Nashville due to them being down 2-0 in the series. With my archetype being 23% hero, this is something I could take advantage of and maybe reach out to those people who wouldn't buy tickets and get them to get the app and watch it on the go. This could help me engage more with the audience around Nashville or Nashville fans in general. The second tweet, was from the reddit sports page. This tweet provided me with the information on how many viewers tuned in to Game 1. This could help strengthen my brand and let me see how many viewers are out there and want to watch the game. With 18% of my Archetype being guy/girl friendly, this can help bring in some of those 4 million consumers to my brand.  My third tweet is a hockey analytics audio. They talk about viewership and people who watch the finals. With my target audience being sports fans, I could defiantly use the analytics to my advantage and try to offer them a deal to get them in the door and watching. With knowing how many viewers watch and where form allows me to target certain places and try to expand my brand to them the best way possible.

Google Alerts! I set up my Google Alerts, with my page showing all the companies I am following. The personal brand names I am looking at are Hockey Chat and HockeyOnTheGo. The industries I am following are the sports and entertainment industry and I am following the companies of NHL, Google, and Amazon. The content from this alert are all very similar. They all provide me with what's going on in hockey and the sports world. The entertainment helps show me what's popular and what's being attractive to the most these days. As the readings said transparency can play a big part into what you do. Social media monitoring allows brands to gather all there positive and negative feedback all into one place, which helps brands know what they need to work on or do better on. The readings from this week suggested that becoming respectful is the number one thing to help achieve success. I agree that this can make or break a brand and being respected is the number one thing that brands should work on. Although my name doesn’t pop up as often as I would like, I would increase my alerts by becoming more well respected.

Google Alerts! The first google alert site I read was the New NHL team Vegas Golden Knights starting to get there minor league teams. This is something that can progress my career branding because hockey being put into a new city. I can then target Las Vegas audience and try to get them to buy in. With my archetype being hero, I can then become a hero to the LAs Vegas hockey community and provide the best streams to them. The second alert site that I have came across has been the summary for the Stanley Cup Finals. This can help me reach out to each fan base and increase my branding. With the Stanley cup coming to Nashville, a small market city, I can improve my brand in that market. With the Nashville Predators on the verge of there first Stanley Cup, Hockey in the south has been booming. This can be a huge thing for my brand and can hit the market and expand a lot in the south. I feel like this is an opportunity to increase my name more in the southern states and become more resected as a brand.

Feedly! On my Feedly dashboard, I have all of my following on my home page. On my RSS feed, I am following ESPN, Puck daddy, sports business, NHL, and sports marketing. I decided to follow these feeds, because I think they will provide me with the most news out of all the other feeds. I'm getting a lot of great content about the sports world and the business part of sports, which provides me with great insight. I hope that by following these feeds they can give me a different perspective on news, than the other sights can provide.

Feedly! The first feed I thought was very interesting was from Puck Daddy from yahoo.com. This site talks about how the NHL is not going to the Olympics next year. This is going to be a huge turning point for hockey fans, because everyone loves Olympic hockey. I think this will help me target those fans that cant watch the Olympics and help bring them into my brand to watch hockey on the App. With my purity being stellar from the ID quiz, I can use this time to get more results from my name online and get my brand out there. The second feed is from Forbes- SportsMoney. This site talks about the Stanley Cup Finals and where the they are playing it on TV. This can help see where the big markets are for the NHL and help me know where to expand my brand to. With my diversity being strong, I think I can hit the small market audience and target them to buy Into my brand and build it. The third feed I found to also be very interesting is from Sports Business and is how ESPN is losing subs. This could help my brand, with targeting the people backing out of there subscriptions and get them to buy our app. With being a hero archetype, we could cater to those who doesn't like ESPN and wants a more respectful brand.
