4 Season Information Welcome all youth swimmer ages 5 to 18 years of age. First Swim Meet will be held on Thursday, June 8th,2016. Last day to register for the Hammerheads is Thursday, June 16th,

6 Eligibility No competitive swimming experience necessary; however, the participants must posses a basic knowledge of swimming and strokes. Feel free to set up a swim test with an aquatic staff member at HealthQuest.

7 Fees Registration : Member-$75.00 Non-members-$85.00 ***25% off each additional child*** Fees include: League dues, practices, meet and championship entries, team t-shirt and swim cap, end of season party and awards.

10 Responsibilities Swimmers: Rules and responsibilities are in the handbook. Parents and family are the foundation for the success of the team. No pressure! We will train, teach, and educate any of the volunteer duties. Parent Representatives: **needed – parent volunteer to attend the league stroke and turn clinic We are all responsible for promoting, supporting, and encouraging the goals of the team, coaches, and the swimmers.

Open communication is essential for all team activities. Will be using the Remind App again this season: the number 81010 If you know your swimmer is going to be absent please notify the coaches two weeks in advance. For any last minute absences please contact the coaches as soon as possible.

12 Equipment Swim Suits: Practice > Any one-piece for females and trucks or jammers for males. Meet > Females should wear team or solid black one-piece swim suit. Males should wear team or solid truck or jammer Swim Caps: Females should always wear swim cap for practice and meets. Goggles: Always wear goggles for practice and meets. It's essential that they fit. Recommended to always have 2 pair, one for backup. Team Shirts: Encouraged that swimmers and parents have team shirt.

13 Swim Meets Warm-up start at 5:30 pm (Arrive 15 minutes early to insure that we are on deck.) Swim meets will start at 6:00 pm Bring extra towels, sunglasses, sunscreen, water or drinks, lawn chair – most meets are held outside. Parent volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 5:15 pm.

14 Inclement Weather In case of inclement weather on meet day, please use the REMIND App. Meets are usually called off by 4:00 pm the day of meet. However, rain does not always constitute a cancellation and it is at the discretion of the home team. In the event of a cancellation, a make up meet will be scheduled and announced as quickly as possible.

15 Closure Our #1 goal is to have fun! Our challenge is to build a team of 60 swimmers!!! See you on Tuesday, May 30th!!!!!
