Grandma irene My grandma Irene past away and left me with one million dollars. She gave me certain restrictions on how to use the money. She told me to set aside a minimum of 75,000 for college and 10% for inflation, books and fees. My grandma also told me to buy a house for less than $300,000 that I can grow with over the years, and told me that I need to include 18%for taxes and closing costs. Grandma Irene just doesn’t stop! She also told me I had to plan a family vacation for the amount of family members in my family right now. She told me I had to buy a reliable vehicle and to include 8% for tax and to donate to a charitable organization. She said that all left over money can be used as I wish and I may NOT use more than a million dollars.

College What really inspired me to chose a college was how my mom went to Texas A&M University in College Station. This is where I knew I was going to be an Aggie. I started out by going on college calculator and finding the price to go there for the four year tuition and my total was $106,484.4 for four total years. After I subtracted that number from my previous balance I got $893,515.6 for my new balance. This was where I started to look at houses in Austin Texas.

Housing After I finished college I knew I needed a house to live and grow in. I wanted to live in a nice neighborhood and find a house for less than $300,000 as grandma Irene said I had to do. Then I found a perfect house for only $217,108.2 including the 18% for tax, and it was in Austin’s Colony in Austin Texas. This house had three bedrooms and three bathrooms and was in a nice neighborhood and less than the maximum price of $300,000.

car Grandma Irene just doesn’t stop! Now I had to buy a reliable vehicle. I went to Carmax.com and found a white Volkswagen beetle for $15, including the 8% tax. When I was searching for a car I knew that this beetle would get the job done.

To charity Next I had to donate to a charitable organization. I feel like charities get a lot of money from donations but I can’t bare to see people with cancer. I wanted to donate to St. Jude cancer development center because I know they will appreciate my donation and will fell very generous to donate $100,000 into their research and why this has to happen to these people.

Going on a trip? My family has always wanted to take a trip to Hawaii and enjoy the wonderful beaches that can be explored in many different ways. When planning the trip I had to think when in the year I wanted to go. I decided on going in the summer because their beaches are the most attractive things about this beautiful exotic state. The cost of my vacation was going to be about $7,000 for the resort, the plane ride there and transportation once we arrive there. This number is not accurate because to find out what the price is I would have to know how much the plane ride is, the cost of the resort per night for the amount of nights we would wish to stay, the kind of transportation we are going to use when we arrive, and of course the meals and entertainment prices, but even though this seems like it is a lot of money to spend I will have enough money to purchase this exciting experience because even if it was about $7,000 I would still have about $500,000 left after al my expenses are paid to spend and that would be more than enough to pay for the wonderful stay in the state of Hawaii.

Freedom Now I have the freedom to buy whatever I would wish for because now I have paid for, college, a house, a reliable vehicle, a vacation with my family and I donated to charity. All other expenses will be for my choice.
