Dancing in the Water
2
In September 2015, a group of 14 dancers donned scuba gear for an underwater performance in Greece. The dancers floated into and out of formation in choreography at a depth of about 16 feet (5 meters). The dancers wore heavy tanks of air, wetsuits, fins, and masks.
3
The music flooded the circular seabed stage from two submerged speakers. The music had been composed with the conductivity of sound through water in mind.
4
The mostly French and Greek performers included three dancers with disabilities and three children. For the dancers, especially those who had disabilities, the experience was "beyond words." They could move freely, without wheelchairs.
