2. Course Description Objectives
Get those students up and moving with interactive lessons using your projector or interactive whiteboard. Students can use interactive tools in small groups, whole group or individual settings. This session will showcase Power My Learning, Google Drawing and Google Slides for interactive classroom instruction. Learn how these tools work best for instruction and enjoy some hands on time for you to plan and prepare interactive lessons to be ready for your students.

Creativity - Google Drawings provides an outlet for student creativity on all levels. Teachers can use ActivInspire to create lessons for student use.
Communication - Students can use the comment feature in Google Drawings to interact with others
Collaboration - All of the applications apply a collaboration model as students are interactive with a tool and each other
Critical Thinking - All of the applications apply critical thinking to manipulate, solve and create

Power My Learning is amazing. Think about all that time you spent searching Google for interactive games that fit with your curriculum. This application is structured with Common Core standards, but using the comparison guide, teachers can easily match up the SOLs. (Link also available on the Handout)
Power My Learning provides a safe searching and learning environment for our students. Teachers can develop playlists and all the interactive sites are played within Power My Learning and students are not sent out onto the internet.

With the popularity of Google Classroom, this application is fantastic for students to create and manipulate drawings.
