Color - What is color? How do we see it?

Color - Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light energy versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors

Color – What is subtractive color? We see subtractively. Light reflects off the subject to our eyes. Some color is absorbed and some is reflected. CMYK refers to the 4 inks used in some color printing: cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black)

Color – What is additive color? When we look at an actual light source we see additively. Color that is mixed become lighter. RGB (color model is an additive color model in which red, green and blue light are mixed together in various ways to reproduce a broad array of colors)
