COLOR IS IMPORTANT AND POWERFUL
Colors affect us in many ways: A strong red color has been shown to raise the blood pressure, while a blue color has a calming effect. Yellow grabs our attention and can affect memory. Being able to use colors to achieve a goal can help you create amazing results.
2
Basic color schemes
With colors you can set a mood, attract attention, or make a statement. You can use color to energize, or to cool down. By selecting the right color scheme, you can create elegance, warmth or peace, or you can make an image playful or exciting. You can even sell more products or gain more customers with the right colors Color can be your most powerful design element if you learn to use it effectively.
3
Colors are classified by three properties:
Hue The color (known by it’s name); a particular wavelength of the light. Purity The freedom from other colors. Saturation is the degree of purity. Value The lightness and darkness of the hue. The tints are when white has been added. The shades are when black has been added.

The Color Wheel
We can make a diagram of the rainbow that helps us make color decisions and observations Color wheels show us how colors are related. They remind artists how to mix and think about colors.
6
The color wheel is the basic tool for combining colors
The color wheel is the basic tool for combining colors. The first was designed by Sir Isaac Newton in 1666. The color wheel is designed so that the colors you pick from it will look good together. Over the years, many different color wheels have been made, but the most common type is a wheel of 12 colors (RYB color model). There are color combinations that are considered especially pleasing. These are called color harmonies. They consist of two or more colors with a fixed relationship in the color wheel.
7
Color wheels show us how colors are related
Color wheels show us how colors are related. They remind artists how to mix and think about colors. The primary colors are: red blue yellow Primary colors cannot be made from other colors. Artists create all the other colors of the rainbow by mixing together the primary colors.

PRIMARY COLORS
9
The secondary colors are:
green orange violet (purple) Secondary colors are made by mixing two primary colors. Each secondary color is made from the two primary colors closest to it on the color wheel.
10
Just by mixing these colors, you can get all the colors of the rainbow:

SECONDARY COLORS

Another six tertiary colors are created by mixing primary and secondary colors

Let us now create our own color wheels that we can keep in our folders
Let us now create our own color wheels that we can keep in our folders. We can use it as a tool for choosing colors for our projects for the rest of the year.
15
Warm and cool colors The color circle can be divided into warm and cool colors.
16
Warm colors (Like fire, the sun) are vivid and energetic, and appear to move toward in space. Red Yellow Orange
17
Cool colors (Like evening, shade, water) give an impression of calm, and create a soothing impression. Appear to move away in space Blue Green Purple

Complementary color scheme
Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel are considered to be complementary colors (example: red and green).
21
Complementary color scheme
The high contrast of complementary colors creates a vibrant, exciting look. This color scheme must be managed carefully so it is not disturbing. Complementary color schemes are tricky to use in large doses, but work well when you want something to stand out. Complementary colors are really bad for text.

COMPLIMENTARY COLORS
23
A Monochromatic Color Scheme is created by taking any one of the twelve Hues from the Basic Color Wheel and repeating it in various Tints, and Shades. A tint is when we add white to the original hue. A shade is when we add black to the original hue.

25
Analogous color scheme
Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs.
26
Analogous color scheme
Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye. Make sure you have enough contrast when choosing an analogous color scheme. Choose one color to dominate, a second to support. The third color is used (along with black, white or gray) as an accent.

29
Triadic color scheme
A triadic color scheme uses colors that are evenly spaced around the color wheel.
30
Triadic color scheme
Triadic color schemes tend to be quite vibrant, even if you use pale or unsaturated versions of your hues. To use a triadic harmony successfully, the colors should be carefully balanced - let one color dominate and use the two others for accent.

Split-Complementary color scheme
The split-complementary color scheme is a variation of the complementary color scheme. In addition to the base color, it uses the two colors adjacent to its complement.
33
Split-Complementary color scheme
This color scheme has the same strong visual contrast as the complementary color scheme, but has less tension. The split-complimentary color scheme is often a good choice for beginners, because it is difficult to mess up.

35
Rectangle (tetradic) color scheme
The rectangle or tetradic color scheme uses four colors arranged into two complementary pairs.
36
Rectangle (tetradic) color scheme
This rich color scheme offers plenty of possibilities for variation. Tetradic color schemes works best if you let one color be dominant. You should also pay attention to the balance between warm and cool colors in your design.

Square color scheme
The square color scheme is similar to the rectangle, but with all four colors spaced evenly around the color circle.
