3. What is a vocational traning office?
A vocational training office is a coopartation between two or more companies with the same need for specialized workers.

4. What we do
Plan, implement and coordinate vocational training in industrial enterprises in Sogn and Fjordane in accordance with the education act.
It is the education act and related regulations, which regulate the work with apprenticeship.

7. How we work with apprentices
Visit every 8th weeks
Mini exams/tasks to be well prepared for the practial exam documentation
Require a plan for the apprentenship/ training

8. Vocational training
2 years in school + 2 years apprentiship in enterprise = journeyman’s certificate or trade certificate
The county is responsible for vocational training
The enterprise chooses who to offer an apprenticeship
The county pays subsidy
Compay pays salary: 1.halfyear – 30%, 2.halfyear – 40%, 3.halfyear – 50%, 4.halfyear 80%
