Uploading and filing all footage Logging all shots and selecting the best takes Assembling the footage into a coherent story Editors must have: A good technical knowledge of the capabilities of the editing software A high level of creativity Good problem-solving abilities A strong sense of pace and timing A good storytelling ability Highly developed visual literacy

Visual Effects Supervisor
Visual effects supervisors must have: A good understanding of post-production effects software A high level of creativity The patience to work on the many small details making up complex procedures Good problem-solving abilities

Sound effects supervisor
Sound effects supervisors are responsible for: Adding spot effects, such as car doors closing, gunshots and explosions Adding atmospheric effects, such as storm winds, traffic noises or rain Adding designed effects, such as the sounds of aliens They must have: Good aural skills and the ability to discern different sound qualities A high level of creativity A good understanding of editing and effects software Expertise in the digital manipulation of sound A well-developed knowledge of music Proficiency in the innovative use of Foley

Music Editor: Foley Artist Sound Designer
uses music to enhance the emotional impact of the film selects the music mixes the music tracks. Foley Artist records natural physical sounds adds the sense of reality places the sounds in perfect synchronisation with the image on the screen. ensure sound levels are appropriate to the nature of the sound and the distance suggested by the shot size Sound Designer The sound in a film is not necessarily a true reflection of production sound, but instead it is designed to sound real. This can mean adding sounds in, or even taking sounds out.

Research your favourite movie and find out the person who undertook that pre production role in the movie Research their career, detailing their education and training, previous roles, films they have worked on and any awards or recognition they have received. Include any interesting facts you come across about the work they do.
