5. SPARKVT PROGRAM OBSERVATIONS, YEARS 1-3
SPARK-VT facilitated a shift in mindset from scientific research to scientific research with commercialization potential
PI learning curve: establishing a strong team (business, legal/regulatory, and understanding/appreciating the regulatory process)
Workshops influence better proposals: idea/concept/timeline better defined; better pitch (less science talk and better orientation toward commercialization)
Partnered with campus/state resources: LaunchVT, UVM Office of Technology & Commercialization (OTC), Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies (VCET), Vermont Agency of Commerce & Community Development Office of Creative Economy, Vermont Technology Counsel
Education opportunities:
