2 Eclipse HX E-QUE CARD E-QUE – E1 / Trunking card
E1/T1 card with dual connection to telecom leased lines. Each E1 controller provides 30 digital audio lines. E1 is a 2Mb telecom standard that allows for 30 digital channels over CAT5 cabling T1 is a 1.5Mb telecoms standard that allows for 24 digital channels over CAT5 cabling The E-QUE card conforms to standard telecoms standards, it can be interconnected to 3rd party devices like E1-to-IP muxs, E1-to-Fibre, E1-to-ATM The ClearCom E-QUE card can be used to pass audio G.711(3Khz) or G.722 (7Khz) across the E1/T1 channel allowing for Hi-capacity trunklines between matrices Hi-capacity audio tie-lines between matrices or 3rd party devices that support E1 Matrix A, Matrix B, E1 (2Mb) trunklines Ethernet data More details are available in the Omega installation manual 2

3 Eclipse HX E-QUE CARD E-QUE – E1 / Trunking card
Note: The E-QUE card is a very versatile card and can be used in a number of different modes. FreeSpeak mode E1 – Trunking mode E1 – Direct 4wire external mode T1 – Trunking mode The same card can be used in only one mode Up to a maximum of 4x E-QUE cards can be fitted into a matrix (in either E1 or FreeSpeak mode) More details are available in the Omega installation manual 3

4 Eclipse HX E-QUE CARD HX PROGRAMMING
The E-QUE E1/T1 card can be configured using HX The EQUE E1 card can only be used in Eclipse HX Omega or Median frames Select the required card type from the Setup matrix hardware screen Select the Card properties link to change the codec setting If used for networking 2 matrices – then switch to “My systems” screen and link the E1 cars together More details are available in the Omega installation manual 4

6 Eclipse HX E-QUE CARD E-QUE – E1 TRUNK AND DIRECT MODES
The E-Que card can be used for both direct E1 to E1 port connections or to provide trunk linking via a network between systems. The E1 connections can be made between Eclipse HX systems or between Eclipse HX systems and compatible third-party equipment. E1 mode provides 30 channels of G.711 or G.722 encoded audio are available on each port, giving 60 channels per card. T1 mode provides 24 channels of G.711 or G.722 encoded audio are available on each port, giving 48 channels per card. The T1 trunking specifications are: B8ZS Encoding Long Haul Receive Signal Level T1 Long Haul (LBO 0 dB) Tx Pulse Amplitude Balanced RJ45 connection 120 Ohm Line Impedance No Signalling G kbit/s Audio Encoding Tx Clock locally generated Rx Clock Line Recovered Extended Super Frame The E1 specifications are: HDB3 Encoding Long Haul Receive Signal Level E1 120 Ohm Tx Pulse Amplitude Balanced RJ45 connection 120 Ohm Line Impedance No Signalling G kbit/s Audio Encoding Tx Clock locally generated Rx Clock Line Recovered More details are available in the Omega installation manual 6
