What are CEPNs? The local community of educational providers and relevant organisations working together to achieve a streamlined approach to planning and delivering education for health and social care workers to meet local and national priorities.

Workforce planning & development to respond to local needs and enable service redesign Improving educational capacity and capability through the development of multi-professional educators and creation of an increase in learner placements Improving educational quality and governance and acting as a coordinator of education and training to support general practice

An online sharing platform which portal provides users with easy access to case studies on: what is working, what has been tried and what hasn’t worked within primary care and across the health and care system. The portal is free to use and supports shared learning within the context of the whole system – Vanguards, Pioneers, Primary Care Home. The portal also features: A private forum for registered users. Access to resources and funding opportunities. A shared project space where users can register a project and invite others to collaborate. A private notice board, particularly useful for the emerging Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) in their work across the whole system.

CEPNs – the future Context: STPs; GP workforce crisis; population changes; multi morbidity at scale; increased care needs; patient expectations; financial pressures New models of care-> different ways of working HEE: savings imperative More for less Can future funding the CEPNs offer a solution?
